Background:
The Legends at Village West, is a super-regional shopping mall located in the Village West development near Kansas City, Kansas. The mall has a gross leasable area of 1,200,000 square feet with more than 110 retail/restaurant outlets including Dave &'s Buster's, Fuddruckers and a T-Rex Cafe. Popular department stores and anchors included Books-A-Million, JCPenney, Target, Sam's Club, Walmart, TJ Maxx and Kohl's.
The mall surrounded by various other attractions, such as the Kansas Speedway, The Legends Auto Plaza, Children's Mercy Park, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Great Wolf Lodge, and The Community America Ballpark.
The Project:
Our assignment was to develop an affordable approach for marketing that could communicate the diversity of attractions, entertainment and shopping available at The Legends at Village West. Our answer was to create multiple outdoor posters that visually showed this diversity with short, memorable headlines and copy to pay off and reinforce what the viewer was seeing. These were also designed to be used as direct mail post cards and MailChimp eblasts to a growing list of customers who frequented the mall.
