This is a great Ancho Salsa recipe. It's also a great way to checkout your local grocery store to see what's available in the Taste of Mexico isle.
Directions:
- This is a simple and fast recipe for making great tasting Ancho Salsa. It has an excellent slow-building burn,
a hint of garlic and just a touch of orange flavor.
- Soak ancho peppers in hot water for 15 minutes. This will help lossen the skins and seeds. Remove the stems and seeds.
- Place ancho peppers, orange juice, bell peppers, garlic and salt in food processer and rurée for about 2 minutes
or until as smooth as apple sause.
- You can use this as a topping for fish or chicken as well as served with chips.
