This is just one of over 9,000 recipes we've collected since early 1996. Many of these recipes have been passed down from family member to family member and then shared with friends and then, with Mike Pitzer's Secret Recipes. When it comes to recipes, the real secret is that all of our recipes always have been, and always will be free!

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450° F. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup and level off. Then sift into large bowl. Cut shortening into flour with fork until consistency is of coarse meal.
  2. Add milk and stir with fork until mixture leaves sides of bowl and forms a soft, moist dough ball. One to 3 Tbsp of additional milk may be added to achieve desired consistency. Turn dough onto floured surface and gently knead 10 times or until dough is no longer sticky. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut out with floured biscuit cutter.
  3. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-12 minutes or until light golden brown.
  4. Servings: 10-12 biscuits
