Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Sift together flour, baking soda and salt. Add shortening and mix with pastry blender. Add milk and stir quickly. Turn out onto a floured board. Roll to 3/4-inch thickness and cut with desired shapes. Bake in 350° oven for 20-25 minutes.
  2. Just before they are done baking, spread butter on the tops of each biscuit to make golden brown. Serve hot with real butter and a smile.
  3. Servings: 1 dozen
