This is just one of over 9,000 recipes we've collected since early 1996. Many of these recipes have been passed down from family member to family member and then shared with friends and then, with Mike Pitzer's Secret Recipes. When it comes to recipes, the real secret is that all of our recipes always have been, and always will be free!

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt and spices. In a large bowl combine, sugar, oil, applesauce, eggs and milk. Stir the dry ingredients into the applesauce mixture; stir in the 1/2 cup pecans.
  3. Pour batter into a greased 9x5-inch loaf pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Begin checking at about 45 minutes and then every 5 minutes thereafter until done. If the top appears done, place foil around the edges to a void burning.
  4. Servings: 1 Loaf, 6 to 8 slices
