This is just one of over 9,000 recipes we've collected since early 1996. Many of these recipes have been passed down from family member to family member and then shared with friends and then, with Mike Pitzer's Secret Recipes. When it comes to recipes, the real secret is that all of our recipes always have been, and always will be free!

Ingredients:

  • Butter, melted

Directions:

  1. In a fry pan or skillet, brown pork sausage and ground beef. Drain any fat. Add beans, cumin and garlic powder. Heat through.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare hot roll mix according to package directions for pizza crust.
  3. Divide dough into eight pieces. Form each piece into a ball. On a lightly floured surface, roll each ball into a 7 to 8 inch circle.
  4. Place dough circles on 2 oiled baking sheets. Place 1/2 cup meat mixture on half the dough circle, to within 1/2 inch of edge. Spoon 2 Tbsp crushed tomato over meat mixture. Top each calzone with 1/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese and 2 Tbsp shredded Cheddar cheese. Moisten edges of dough with water and fold circles in half. Press edges firmly together with a fork. Brush with melted butter.
  5. Bake at 400° F for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with a side of guacamole.
  6. Servings: 8
